Negotiations Update:

There continues to be dialogue between the Union and Fox as we work towards a new agreement. We continue to Negotiate in good faith.

We urge all members to wear their buttons as we must be a visible and united unit working to preserve our jobs and quality of life.

Negotiation Dates:

Monday, Jan 23-27 at WWOR, NJ.

Monday, Jan 30-Feb. 3 at WTTG, Washington, DC.

We encourage and welcome all Members to attend.

THE TIME IS NOW! A Call To Action:

Negotiations have commenced and the message from Fox is clear. They are picking up where they left off.

They have already proposed to take back another week of vacation. AND they have proposed docking you 40% pay for every day that you are out sick. This is only the beginning.

We have created a Facebook group (Iatse 794-819/Fox Negotiations) for all to visit for updates. And of course the Union website for updates as well.

We will have t-shirt days and other events to show that our Members stand strong and united.

We are committed to Negotiating in Good Faith and encourage all Members to come and observe our meetings with Fox.

The Union Bargaining Committee reminds all members to ignore rumors. All official information be delivered at the next Membership meeting, our Facebook group page and Union website.

As you all know the Company has indicated that there is to be a layoff of 33 more Employees beyond the 5 already laid off for a total of 38. This is to take place by June 30th. The Company has now indicated that there will be an additional layoff of approximately 20 more Employees within the next 12-18 months due to the advent of an Automated Production Control Room system at WNYW and WWOR, the anticipated hubbing out of Graphics by early Fall, and Master Control being hubbed from a main facility out West. The Company has repeatedly indicated that the Station(s) operation(s) will be changing dramatically within the next year or so. The Company has distributed a new enhanced buyout offer that should be considered by all those eligible. The Company has decided to offer a different monetary amount to previous NABET employees due to their reduced Pension accruals. The Negotiating Committee is working very hard to continue to negotiate for a Contract that will carry us into and through this very unsure and daunting future.
