As you all know the Company has indicated that there is to be a layoff of 33 more Employees beyond the 5 already laid off for a total of 38. This is to take place by June 30th. The Company has now indicated that there will be an additional layoff of approximately 20 more Employees within the next 12-18 months due to the advent of an Automated Production Control Room system at WNYW and WWOR, the anticipated hubbing out of Graphics by early Fall, and Master Control being hubbed from a main facility out West. The Company has repeatedly indicated that the Station(s) operation(s) will be changing dramatically within the next year or so. The Company has distributed a new enhanced buyout offer that should be considered by all those eligible. The Company has decided to offer a different monetary amount to previous NABET employees due to their reduced Pension accruals. The Negotiating Committee is working very hard to continue to negotiate for a Contract that will carry us into and through this very unsure and daunting future.
